We had a wonderful three day boat trip aboard Queenie in June 2015. We’ve done quite a bit of boating and it was the most comfortable quality boat we have ever enjoyed. Hester keeps the boat first class and it was much admired for its quality and styling as we pootled about. The sun shone and we had a glorious time.
What made it extra special was having Ursu with us – a seven year-old Romanian stray who had lived his life in the streets and kill shelters of Romania before coming to live with us just six months earlier. He’d arrived feral and terrified, screaming and biting and unwilling to take a collar and lead. Six months on from years spent in an incarcerated hell he loved the boating trip - his first venture away from home – and with a puppy exuberance that melted the heart.
You can buy a copy of the full story here and read about how Ursu turned himself around to become the fantastic dog he is today the profits from the sale of the book go to support Monica's Romanian Rescue charity working in Bucharest.
